THE UPPER ROOM CHURCH CHARTER

THE MEDIA TEAM

inspired by the great commission in Matthew 28:19 – 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, – the media department’s core objective is to evangelize through the digital media.

Our roles are but not limited to:

  • Church IT support
  • Content development
  • Church branding
  • Livestream
  • Supporting worship
  • Creating and maintaining church systems

Being a dynamic and ever-changing landscape, the media team ensures utmost diligence in service through constant research, mentorship and capacity building.

The core values that bind us together as a team are:

Excellence – We believe that God wants us to give our best, of the best, in His service. The very nature and character of God show us what is good, perfect, holy, and excellent. So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31. God, therefore, expects us to do everything in a way that illuminates His perfect nature and glorifies Him.

Effectiveness – We believe that God has called us to be stewards of the resources that he graciously bestows on us (Matthew 25:14–30). As good stewards, it is therefore imperative that we use all that we have in an, importantly, impactful way. We are called to evaluate our operations, measure the impact, and make decisions on their continuity.

Initiative – We believe that God calls us to a lifestyle of being active people. He dislikes passivity and wants us to take action, to stand up and be counted. While we number our days on earth, we need to enthusiastically utilize every opportunity God blesses us with and to also actively seek out opportunities to serve and grow.

THE MEDIA TEAM MEMBER

The media team member shall be one who:

  • Lives a life worthy of the calling. To this end, the media team member should intentionally seek to grow spiritually through devoting time to personal Bible study, prayer, and fellowship.
  • Embodies the 3 values. Excellence, initiative, and effectiveness are key to holistic growth for any member. As an example set by Jesus our Savior, we ought to serve bearing the 3 in heart and mind.
