Wakurugenzi!
Every Frame for His Fame
Capturing, creating, and sharing God’s work through media.
Who We Are
We’re the creatives serving behind the scenes. We call ourselves "wakurugenzi" and each one of us is a waziri (leader) in the different roles or projects we handle.
This team tells stories, amplifies the Gospel, and builds content that moves people. This includes Sunday sermons, event highlights, social reels, design, programming and more.
We are volunteers ready to learn, unlearn and relearn.

Karen AGC Media Team – Creatives for the Gospel
You see, our team is all about fun, fast meetups where anyone can drop ideas and try new things.
As a young person, you want a space to contribute without being judged, and yes, you belong here. BTW, almost all of us joined while green ( Knew nothing about cameras, computers, or code)
We meet people who are ready to teach us and value our contribution. Creativity here comes with laughs, not stress!
You may think you know nothing but I bet you are lacking a space to pour ideas and experiment them. Mmmh…why not join us?
Learn something new today
Here are some free courses that the team has created. Why not upskill today?
Wakurugenzi effect
We are not bragging, but we believe we create the best designs compared to other churches.
We code for the glory of God
We Code and create projects together to streamline the spread of the gospel. Right now, we are learning python programming as a team.
Softwares we have created together
We love playing around with code. Breaking and fixing things BTW.
We have created a ton of software to streamline message delivery.
I mean It's all about identifying a problem and creating a solution

Campaigns we have run together
We have done so many Campaigns. Be it for fundraising, registrations not trainings. We can’t even keep count of them all. We can just list them here.
- Fundraising for AGC Baby Center – Travelling to Nakuru, shoot videos, take photos and create adverts and design material for fundraising to support AGC Baby center.
- Holding The Rope – A whole month campaign to raise funds to support missionaries in Witu, Lamu county. This includes the development of churches or building of schools like Baraka MOA. This required us to set-up a shop in the website to sell merchandise. This was a massive campaign.
- 100 Fold – This was a thanks giving campaign where people in church tell what they are grateful for in that year. This requires shooting and editing videos for a lot of people. Design is also its backbone.
And many more…………..
Chemichemi Bible Run
We created a mobile app to help the church congregation to read the whole bible through out the year. This was under chemichemi. The app has all the features you need. Dark mode, themes, favorite bible versions, local versions, reminders, daily updates, you name it. Download it from Play Store.
Roast Night and Cookathon
Recently, 25 of our team met for a night of roasting maize, cooking together and roasting each other.
We fellowshiped, danced, sang, shared verses, memories among many other activities. Here is a sneak of the night………..
Testimonials
Here what people and the team say
I have seen them grow remarkably, balancing campus life with volunteering for the church. Their dedication and willingness to learn are evident in every video, design, and live stream they produce. Actually, this has made some of them change their careers.

I joined the media team with almost no experience, only a desire to learn and serve. Each week brings new challenges, and every project teaches me something valuable. I’m amazed at how much I’ve grown and how I contribute to church.
Leading this team has never been about giving orders. It’s about walking with people, helping them stretch their abilities, and celebrating the small wins that turn into big victories. This team has become my second family.
I joined to learn, and I stayed because of the team. Every new video, graphic, or project pushes me to grow, and it’s inspiring to see how our work touches others in the church.
I never imagined I could handle real video editing or design projects, but here I am, learning by doing. The team supports me, guides me, and pushes me to try things I thought were impossible. It’s thrilling to see my skills grow while serving God’s work.
Being part of this team has been like finding a home where I can learn without fear of failing. Every mistake is a lesson, and every success is shared with encouragement. I’m constantly inspired to improve and see my creativity used for a greater purpose.
This team is teaching me far more than media skills. I’m learning patience, teamwork, and how to use my creativity to glorify God. Each project is a challenge and an opportunity to improve, and seeing our work make an impact is incredibly rewarding.
